The best artifact set for Xianyun is Viridescent Venerer. This set increases Anemo damage and boosts Swirl damage for all elements. It also reduces enemy resistance. The Viridescent Venerer artifact is the top choice for Xianyun, regardless of the type of team she is in.
If you don’t have the Viridescent Venerer artifact, an alternative is the 4-piece Song of Stillness set. This set boosts healing abilities and provides a buff to the on-field active character, which enhances their damage.
Xianyun Weapons Desc
Crane’s Echoing Call is an excellent weapon for Xianyun because it provides a buff to all party members after she performs Plunging Attacks on enemies. The weapon has a high basic attack and generates a large amount of energy, which helps meet her energy requirements efficiently.
If you don’t have her signature weapon, Oathsworn Eye is a great free-to-play option. When refined to Rank 5, it helps with energy recharge after triggering her Elemental Skill.

Xianyun specializes in Plunging Attacks, so players should focus on boosting her Plunge Attack abilities. Start with her normal attack, then activate her Elemental Skill to enable Plunging Attacks against enemies. After that, activate her Elemental Burst to switch between main and sub DPS. This will make Plunging Attacks available for the character, but it will last for only 16 seconds.
Continue cycling through these steps: Normal Attack → Elemental Skill → Elemental Burst → Switch to Main DPS or Sub DPS.
Xianyun Overview
Xianyun is a 5-star Anemo character in Genshin Impact who uses Catalyst-type weapons in battle. Her normal attack, “Word of Wind and Flower,” deals Anemo damage to all enemies. She specializes in Plunging Attacks, and her Elemental Skill, “White Clouds at Dawn,” helps her leap forward twice and more then deal Area-of-Effect Anemo damage. The damage from her Plunging Attack increases with each jump and can reach a maximum of 3 times.
Her Elemental Burst, “Stars Gather at Dusk,” works as a sub-DPS and support ability. It deals Area-of-Effect Anemo damage and can also provide some healing help to all party members. However, the amount of healing depends on her attack percentage.
To heal party members, she summons a mechanism called Starwicker, which lasts for only 16 seconds. The healing capacity depends on Xianyun’s attack. Her Burst also enhances the Plunging Attacks of all party members and increases their jump height.
She is especially skilled at performing high Plunging Attacks. That’s why her passive ability, “Consider, the Adeptus in Her Realm,” grants the first eight Plunging Attacks of your active characters within her Burst.

Charged Attack
By consuming some stamina, Xianyun launches a Breeze Bolt in a straight line. This attack deals Anemo damage to all enemies it passes through.
Plunging Attack
Harnessing Anemo power, Xianyun plunges from mid-air, hitting all opponents in her path. Upon impact with the ground, she deals Area-of-Effect Anemo damage.
Elemental Skill
White Clouds at Dawn
When Xianyun activates this state, she becomes immune to fall damage and can use Skyladder once. During this state, her Plunging Attack transforms into Driftcloud Wave, which deals AoE Anemo DMG and ends the Cloud Transmogrification state. This damage counts as Plunging Attack damage. Each use of Skyladder while in Cloud Transmogrification increases the damage and Area-of-Effect of the next Driftcloud Wave.
Skyladder
Can be used while mid-air. Xianyun leaps forward, dealing Anemo DMG to targets in her path. During Cloud Transmogrification, Skyladder can be used up to 3 times, with each instance dealing damage to any one opponent. If Skyladder is not used within a short time, the Cloud Transmogrification state will end. If Driftcloud Wave is not used during this state, the cooldown of White Clouds at Dawn is reduced by 3 seconds.
Elemental Burst
Stars Gather at Dusk
Xianyun summons a sacred breeze that deals AoE Anemo DMG and heals all nearby characters based on her ATK. This ability also summons the “Starwicker” mechanism.
Starwicker
- Healing: Continuously follows the active character and periodically heals all nearby characters based on Xianyun’s ATK.
- Adeptal Assistance: Starts with 8 stacks. While active, it increases the jump height of nearby active characters.
- Plunging Attack Bonus: When the active character performs a Plunging Attack, Starwicker consumes 1 stack of Adeptal Assistance to deal AoE Anemo DMG.
Only one Starwicker can be active at a time.

Each stack increases the Plunging Attack CRIT Rate of characters by 4%/6%/8%/10%, respectively. Each Storm Pinion has an independent duration.

Consider, the Adeptus in Her Realm
When Starwicker, created by Stars Gather at Dusk, has Adeptal Assistance stacks, the Plunging Attack shockwave damage of nearby active characters is increased by 200% of Xianyun’s ATK. The maximum damage boost achievable this way is 9,000.
Each instance of Plunging Attack shockwave damage can apply this increased damage effect to only one opponent. This effect can be triggered once every 0.4 seconds per character.

The maximum damage boost achievable this way is 18,000.
Each Plunging Attack shockwave instance can apply this damage boost to only one opponent, and each character can trigger this effect once every 0.4 seconds.
