Nilou Artifacts Desc
The best artifact for Nilou is the 4-piece Tenacity of the Millelith set, which increases the attack and shield strength of all party members after her Elemental Skill is triggered, which is pretty cool. However, this artifact is most beneficial for Nilou as a supportive member.
If you want, you can try out the 4-piece Deepwood Memories artifact. It helps reduce opponent’s Dendro RES, which could be a good option for off-field support. Besides that, you can explore artifacts like Gilded Dreams, Vourukasha’s Glow, Heart of Depth, and Wanderer’s Troupe.
Nilou Weapons Desc
Nilou’s signature and supportive weapon is the Key of Khaj-Nisut because of its high HP percentage, which is very useful for supportive characters like Nilou. Here are some other supportive weapons you can consider: the 4-star Favonius Sword, which helps increase critical hit rate, though it needs to be refined to rank 5. Another option is the 5-star Freedom-Sworn weapon. Additionally, you can check out the 3-star Traveler’s Handy Sword.

Repeat Again
Nilou’s playstyle is quite simple yet effective. If you’re advancing with a Bloom team, maximizing the team’s bloom damage involves building HP on these characters. Nilou is primarily capable off-field, so start by using her Elemental Skill three times and then switch to other sub-DPS and support characters. This activates Nilou’s Whirling Steps for characters proficient in dealing Hydro damage. Afterward, switch to your main DPS to increase damage percentages.
However, after this, you can use her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst.
Continue cycling through these steps: Elemental Skill → Switch to Support or Sub DPS → Switch to Main DPS → Elemental Skill → Normal Attack → Elemental Burst.
Nilou Overview
Nilou is a 5-star Hydro element character who primarily uses sword-type weapons. Her Elemental Skill, Dance of Haftkarsvar, triggers a sword dance form after activation, dealing Hydro damage. If her Elemental Skill’s sword dance form is executed more than 3 times, she enters the Whirling Steps form, dealing AoE Hydro damage to nearby enemies until Whirling ends.
If you quick switch to other characters while Nilou is in her Whirling Steps form, the form doesn’t immediately end, which is a bonus ability for other party members. This allows them to continue dealing AoE Hydro damage, and their attacks will also affect enemies.
Nilou’s Elemental Burst, Dance of Abzendegi: Distant Dreams, Listening Spring Lotus, throws waters that deal substantial AoE Hydro damage to nearby enemies. However, the amount of damage dealt depends on Nilou’s maximum HP. Increasing Nilou’s skill attributes will increase the damage of her Elemental Burst.
If you have Dendro or Hydro characters on your team, Nilou’s third dance step in Dance of Haftkarsvar provides the Golden Chalice’s Bounty buff to all characters for 30 seconds. By quickly switching to other Dendro or Hydro party members and attacking, you can deal extra damage to enemies.
Nilou Best Team
1. Nilou Bloom Teams
Nilou’s passives are effective in enhancing the abilities of Dendro and Hydro characters in a Bloom team. As a main DPS, you can choose between Alhaitham and Nahida, as both possess powerful Dendro damage abilities. In a Bloom team, you can either create a team with 2 Hydro and 2 Dendro characters, or you can opt for a team composition with 3 Hydro and 1 Dendro character. However, for boss fights, it’s advisable to maintain balance by having 2 Hydro and 2 Dendro characters in your team.

Nilou Talents
Normal Attack
Dance of Samser
Normal Attack
Nilou unleashes up to three swift sword strikes in succession.
Charged Attack
Consumes a set amount of Stamina to perform a twirling slash.
Plunging Attack
Dives from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing Area of Effect (AoE) damage upon impact.
Elemental Skill
Dance of Haftkarsvar
Enters the Pirouette state, dealing Hydro DMG to nearby opponents based on Nilou’s Max HP. While she is in the Pirouette state, Nilou’s Normal Attacks and Elemental Skill will cause her to enter the Sword Dance and Whirling Steps stances respectively, causing DMG she deals to be converted to Hydro DMG that cannot be overridden and that is considered Elemental Skill DMG.
In these stances, Nilou’s third dance step will end Pirouette, and has the following effects based on the type of said dance step: · Sword Dance: unleashes a Luminous Illusion that deals Hydro DMG to opponents it touches and grants Nilou the Lunar Prayer effect. This effect converts Nilou’s Normal Attacks into Sword Dance techniques, and her final hit will unleash a Luminous Illusion. · Whirling Steps: Nilou unleashes a Whirling Water Wheel that deals AoE Hydro DMG and creates a Tranquility Aura that follows your active character around and applies Wet to opponents within its AoE. Nilou is unable to perform Charged Attacks when under the effect of Pirouette or Lunar Prayer. These effects will be removed once she leaves the field.
Elemental Burst
Dance of Abzendegi: Distant Dreams, Listening Spring
Nilou begins the dance of faraway dreams and springs that hear, causing a Lotus of Distant Waters to bloom. This deals Area of Effect (AoE) Hydro damage based on Nilou’s Max HP and applies the Lingering Aeon effect to all affected opponents. Over time, opponents affected by Lingering Aeon will take additional Hydro damage.
Nilou Passive Skills
Ascension Passive
Court of Dancing Petals
When all characters in the party are either Dendro or Hydro, and there is at least one Dendro character and one Hydro character present: Completing the third dance step of Nilou’s Dance of Haftkarsvar grants all nearby characters the Golden Chalice’s Bounty for 30 seconds.
Characters under the effect of Golden Chalice’s Bounty will: Increase the Elemental Mastery of all nearby characters by up to 100 for 10 seconds whenever they are hit by Dendro attacks. Triggering the Bloom reaction will create Bountiful Cores instead of Dendro Cores. Bountiful Cores burst quickly after creation and have larger Areas of Effect (AoEs). Bountiful Cores cannot trigger Hyperbloom or Burgeon and share an upper numerical limit with Dendro Cores. The damage from Bountiful Cores is considered as damage dealt by Dendro Cores produced by Bloom. If the party does not meet the conditions for this Passive Talent, any existing Golden Chalice’s Bounty effects will be canceled.
